The monthly Brews + Prose evening at Market Garden Brewery features a pair of novelists this month.
Cleveland-born Salvatore Scibona’s 2008 debut novel The End, taking place in an Italian neighborhood in northern Ohio in the early 1950s,was a finalist for the National Book Award and won the Young Lions Fiction Award. His new book, The Volunteer, was published in March and like his first, tells a complex story that crossed generations and decades.
He’ll be joined by young Chicago writer Halle Butler whose two novels, Jillian (2015) and The New Me (2019), deal with millennials trapped in dead-end lives.
Brews + Prose is free and open to all. Food and drink are available for purchase.
