Rocky River Chamber Music Society Presents Australian Brother Guitar Duo

Mon 5/9 @ 7:30PM

It’s coming to the end of the 2021-2022 season for arts presenting groups & in that time most were able to return to normal live programming — and are looking ahead to a fully normal 2022-2023 season.

The Rocky River Chamber Music Society is concluding its 63rd season back home at the West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church with a concert by Australian classical guitar duo the Grigoryan Brothers, Slava and Leonard.

Originally from Kazakhstan, the family resettled in Australian in the 80s, where the brothers began performing when Leonard was a mere four years old.  Since then they’ve performed in Asia, Europe, Africa, North America and the Middle East, and released numerous records including 2021’s This Is Us, a Musical Reflection of Australia.

Their program in Cleveland will include music by Tchaikovsky, Handel and Granados, a premeire of a work by Margaret Brouwer and a couple of their own compositions.

As always, the concert is free, although donations are welcome! And the concert will be livestreamed for those not yet comfortable being out in a crowd or those who simply want to kick back at home.
