Fri 4/21 @ 5-9PM
It’s time again to stop by 78th Street Studios and check out what area artists are up to, while enjoying an evening out to socialize, shop, listen to some music, and have a bite to eat and something to drink.
This Third Friday, as usual, Local West will be providing the food, while BARneo will have the adult beverages. Guitarist Vic Samalot and his wife Bobbie will be performing jazz- and Latin-influenced music, while LaCroy Hatcher aka DJ Sunset will be spinning tunes on the RAMP level.
Visit the studios of resident artists to see Eileen Dorsey’s new set of Northeast Ohio landscapes — the last time to see them before many of them go to their purchasers — Dawn Tekler’s textured encaustics, Laurel Herbold’s mini-DayGlo show, and Justin Brennan’s portraits, a sneak peak of his upcoming big show ay HEDGE Gallery. Stop by HEDGE to see its current show, Katy Richards’ Pocket Full of Posies, work that reflects on beauty and ephemerality. Bruno and Amelia Casiano open a new show called Jux.ta.po.si.tion in Suite 215 Gallery. And E11even2 gallery’s Bug Out will confront you will things that crawl and flit, created by nearly two dozen artists. That’s just a small sampling of what you’ll encounter.
Finally, make it a point to stop in the CAN Journal office, suite 206, and sign the petition to put reproductive rights on the ballot and keep big, intrusive government out of our private lives.
Third Friday is free and open to all, including your (well-behaved, leashed) dog.
