Right from the runways, here are a few trends you guys can start working on before the fall season and cooler temps arrive. Note: To like, buy and wear every new trend is unrealistic. Instead, remember to add a few trending pieces to your existing wardrobe. This keeps your looks both updated and representative of your style. Find trends that fit your personal taste and go for it!
Bomber Jackets – Tell them Kanye sent you.
Blame Yeezy. In a clear example of how music influences fashion, many of the bomber jackets seen on this seasons runway were inspired by Kanye West and his varied looks rocking the classic piece. As they begin to show up in your local shop, check them out in various fabrics (nylon, denim, suede and leather).
Mad for plaid (again)
Becoming a mainstay for fall the last few seasons, plaids in checks, tartans and windowpane variety will be seen in trench coats, vests and accessories. The fashionably bold can even mix a plaid or two as well. What? You say you don’t know your tartan from your glen? Check out the plaid cheat sheet at the top.
Royal Treatment
The golden runways for fall will make way for regal, military looks for men in the shops this season. Peacoats with gold buttons, heavy patches and even military stripes on blazers are seen this fall. Patchwork and embroidery on men’s apparel is a focus also.
Track Stars
Gone are the days of the track suit considered casual and, heaven forbid, for track meets. The new arrivals in track suits this season come in many styles, from fitted and sleek to baggy and comfy. Change the look your track suit with a classic Adidas or Puma track jacket with slim trousers.
Colors to look out for this season: red, light blue, copper and, yes, even pink.
Here’s a few trends to keep you looking sharp this season. Get to it fellas!
