“The Web of Anansi,” Based on a Folk Tale, Debuts at Near West Theatre

The Web of Anansi, a new original script written by Cleveland playwright Nina Domingue, is based on a folk tale that appears in African, Caribbean and African-American culture.  It centers of the character of a wise spider named Anansi, teaching life lessons to a pair of tiger cubs.

Near West Theatre will debut the production in three performances, in a partnership with Twelve Literary Arts and Domingue. Nathan Henry will direct the show, which features a combination of live performance and puppetry.
