Dale Goode Does Artist Talk at 78th Street Studios

Wed 3/24 @ 5:30-7:30PM

Cleveland artist Dale Goode, who’s 72, has been making art for a long time, although he hasn’t always had as prominent a presence in the art scene as now (partly because it wasn’t always as vibrant and inclusive as it is now), although his work has been part of many shows. But his name has been out a lot more recently, and a new show at 78th Street studios’ spacious second floor Suite 215, put together by HEDGE Gallery, should give his work more exposure.

Called Paintings and Prints, it features his recent abstract and figurative work, along with older paintings on canvas using a variety of media including enamel, acrylics, oils, latex and found materials. The two-dimensional work in this show is also influenced by the eclectic artist’s work in large-sale sculptures. It’s on view through Friday May 28.

Learn more about his background, his process, his techniques and his influences when he hosts an artist talk in the gallery this week. It’s free and reservations aren’t required because it will take place in the large, open second floor 215 gallery. Masks are required and they’ll keep track of crowd size.
