How does a hearty breakfast and a brisk rendezvous with nature sound to get your weekend started? You can come by yourself or bring the family to the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes for its annual Pancake Breakfast with the Birds.
Enjoy a stack of warm pancakes; do some crafts at the activities stations; and learn a something birds and how they live, before venturing outside for a guided nature hike which includes a close-up looks at birds of pretty, courtesy of Lake Metroparks.
Tickets are $9 for adults, $5 for kids 4-10. Proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of Shaker Heights and the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes. Register here.
