Walk into any Melt Bar and Grilled and you’ll see art by local artists: murals by Jake Kelly, neon by Dana Depew, sandwich posters by John G, and anniversary posters by Derek Hess.
For the Melt (Art) Challenge, PopEye Gallery curator Josh Usmani put the word out and 30 different artists submitted Melt-themed art which was judged by Melt honcho Matt Fish and the four artists above, with prizes ranging from Melt for a day to Melt for a year. View the video here.
Through October 21, visit PopEye Gallery at Survival Kit, Suite 303 on the top floor of 78th Street Studios and take in the Melt (Art) Challenge yourself.
