Sun 12/25 @ 7:30PM
Cleveland’s long-running (30 years!) swing/jump/blues/R&B/early rock band Blue Lunch has established a Christmas Day tradition with its annual Latke Party at the Beachland Ballroom.
If you’re Jewish, you know what this means: those delicious crispy potato pancakes. And for this evening, they’ll be added to the Beachland’s usual menu of munchies, sandwiches and hearty meal-type entrees. They’ll fill your belly while the horn-driven eight-piece band filled with some of the area’s top professional musicians fills te ballroom with their rockin’ swingin’ danceable sounds.
And speaking of top professional musicians, their special guest for the night is jazz sax player Ernie Krivda, who is based in Cleveland but has acquired an international reputation throughout his many decades of performing and recording.
Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door. The show is a benefit for the Dream On Foundation which helps people who are struggling or going through a crisis.
