Cleveland baroque chamber music ensemble Les Delices ended up having a pretty busy season, with a full schedule of digital concerts and on online Monday evening program called SalonEra, featuring music and talk about music. They used a lot of production technology and visuals to enhance viewers’ experience and give them more background in the music.
They’ll be back in that mode for the first three programs of their 2021-2s season with “Song of Orpheus,” premiering October 7; “Winds of Change” on November 18 and “The Highland Lassie” on January 20. Ticket holders have 30 days to watch each.
They’ll switch gears for “Of Gods & Heroes,” with live performances in Cleveland and Akron February 25-27 and the virtual premiere March 17. The White Cat, “a fairytale Baroque opera pastiche,” originally scheduled for the 2019-20 season will be performed live March 31-April 3, and debut digitally April 28. The SalonEra programs will continue as well.
