The Crooked River Conversations are part of the Xtinguish series of events leading up to the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the most famous Cuyahoga River fire. But there were many other fires, and “River Fires and Fire Boats,” a conversation with Western Reserve Fire Museum historian Paul Nelson, taking place at Case Western Reserve’s Kelvin Smith Library, will look at the 15 major fires along the Cuyahoga River and how they were fought in different time periods. He’ll also share information about the new Fire Museum.
It’s free; reservations are requested at chf.case.edu.
