Regional planning group NOACA (Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency) has been working since January 2020 to develop a long-range plan called “eNEO2050: An Equitable Future for Northeast Ohio,” created with input from stakeholders and the general public.

Now they will be unveiling and discussing the plan that combines transportation and environmental planning initiatives with a focus on equitable access in areas such as land use, housing, jobs, health and economics.

They call it a “comprehensive plan that guides Northeast Ohio’s major infrastructure investments and vision for the future.” They go on to say that “This framework sets the agenda for all forms of transportation in the region, including automobile, bridge and roadway, transit, bicycle, walking and the movement of freight. The plan also incorporates an examination of the region’s land use patterns, environmental concerns, studying income disadvantaged and sensitive areas, with the goal of identifying better policy for housing and economic development within the region.”

Anyone interested in listening in can link to a live feed of the meeting on Zoom Monday May 3. Go here for information on how to connect.
