Once again, talk is flying around about making something out of Cleveland’s long-neglected lakefront and there’s a new plan called the North Coast Master Plan, the latest of more than a dozen plans proposed since 1903. Yeah, we know — you’ve heard it all before. The question is: what is that “something?”
That will be the topic of the next “Happy Dog Takes On” forum when the Happy Dog Takes on Cleveland’s Lakefront Development.
Presented in conjunction with the City Club and taking place at the Happy Dog in Gordon Square so you can drink a beer and munch on tater tots while you listen, the forum will feature three speakers (luckily Browns owner Jimmy Haslam is not among them — this Tennesseean has way too much to say about OUR lakefront): ThirdSpace Action Lab partner and co-founder Mordecai Cargill, Greater Cleveland Partnership’s Allison Lukacsy-Love and City of Cleveland Director of Planning Joyce Pan Huang.
Is there real meat on this plan or is it glossy tourist hype? You be the judge. The forum is free and open to all. RSVP here.
