With nice weather coming and open windows letting air into your home, you might be thinking about doing some redecorating or buying something fresh and new for yourself. And if you’d like to get something made locally or sold by a local independent vendor, you’re in luck: Akron’s Crafty Mart is holding its Spring Fling event this weekend, as well as its Crafty Closet Open House. At the former, you can buy directly from more than 40 local makers. At the latter you can find (and donate) gently used art and craft supplies to get started on that project you’ve been planning. Food and drink will be available, and there’ll be make-and-take crafts.
Both take place at Crafty Mart’s space at the Bounce innovation Hub in downtown Akron. Admission is free.
