Bucolic outdoor Peninsula Market is back for its second market in July. At the family-owned Christmas tree farm, Heritage Farms, vendors are spread out in the meadow, barnyard and barn, giving shoppers plenty of room to browse and chat while enjoying the fresh country air.
The market has an upscale vibe, like a more laidback and intimate version of the old Cleveland Fleas, with handmade, repurposed, collectible and vintage items from regional artists, craftspeople and collectors. Each month’s market has a different mix of 50-70 vendors, virtually all offering unique items.
There are also plenty of edible offerings, including food trucks, so you can make a day of it. And each market features performances by area musicians. This week versatile utility man singer/songwriter/guitarist Ray Flanagan will play from 10am-noon with eclectic duo The Baker’s Basement playing12:30-2:30pm Both the event, which takes place rain or shine, and parking are free.
Now in its ninth season, the Peninsula Flea will host two dates each month. Future dates include August 3 and 17.
