Since the pandemic started, jazz trumpeter Dominick Farinacci, who launched his international music career from the Tri-C High School jazz program, has been presenting his Songbook Watch Parties online featuring collaborations drawn from his extensive network of fellow musicians around the country.

Now, to celebrate International Jazz Day, he’s joined with Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland and global artist-led music collective 23Arts LIVE to present a performance with pianist Monty Alexander live streamed from the LiPuma Center for the Creative Arts on the Tri-C Metro campus.

“My last tour before the shutdown was with Monty in Switzerland, where he has headlined Montreux Jazz Festival 23 times since 1976!” says Farinacci.

There’ll be two showtimes “to accommodate international audiences,” and the concerts will be followed by a conversation with Farinacci and Alexander, hosted by Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland director Terri Pontremoli.

Tickets are $20; to purchase them go here.
