Last November, local short fiction writer Michael Credico was awarded a residency from Akron Soul Train, a series of such awards given to artists in various disciplines to develop new work, which Akron Soul Train then presents in its downtown Akron gallery or at a partner organization.
This week, Credico will talk about and share selections from his new novel in an Akron Soul Train virtual program. (The gallery’s open but attendance is limited). It’s his second book, which he describes as “a speculative-fabulist-comic novel about the evaporation of the most famous American bodies of water, including the Great Lakes, the Mississippi River, the Colorado River, etc.” It features a Summit County character loosely based on evangelist Ernest Angley. We don’t know if the character also has an incredibly bad toupee.
Maybe you’ll find out if you tune in here.
