Come Light the Menorah at the Maltz Museum on the First Day of Chanukah

Sun 12/22 @ 1:30-3PM

If you don’t have a traditional celebration at home, where better to celebrate the fist night of Chanukah than the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage. The museum holds its annual Chanukah Candle Lighting to mark the first day of the eight-day holiday, honoring the re-dedication of the Second Temple at Jerusalem in 165BC after its defilement.

The first candle will be lit, with the telling of the Chanukah story and traditional tunes sung to live music. Visitors will also have the opportunity to do holiday crafts and tour the museum. People of all faith backgrounds are welcome.

It’s free; please register here.
