Share Your Story With the Western Reserve Historical Society

WRHS preserves the tangible history of our region, history which can be perceived and experienced in the exhibit galleries, among their properties, and in the research library.

In line with their mission to tell your stories, they are interested in collecting documents, artifacts, sound files, or moving images that help illustrate life for our community. The institution is interested in photographs, correspondence, journals, artwork, music, poetry, and recipes, anything that shows how you, your family, or your neighbors experience life.

Of special interest are their new efforts to collect stories related to how our region is responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. And in preparation for the 50th anniversary of the African American Archives Auxiliary, WRHS has created an Activist Collection Form to trace activities such as the recent protests in response to the killing of George Floyd.

The materials you share will become a part of the collections of Western Reserve Historical Society. They will help us teach others about our region and how we live as individuals, as institutions, and as a community.
