Rejoice, those of you who have had an entertainment-deficient winter. The North Coast Men’s Chorus’s spring concerts take place this weekend, bringing a dose of sunshine, warmth and dazzlement.
The ensemble, which features a floating group of 50 or more voices, is known for the level of show-biz sizzle it brings to every program it performs. The level should be high this weekend with the theme of the show — Queens of the Night: The Legendary Divas of Pop. Among the “divas” on their roster are Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga, Tina Turner, Beyoncé, Cher, Madonna, Tina Turner, Judy Garland, and even Taylor Swift.
Anyone who’s gone to one of the concerts knows that you won’t just get a diverse range of tunes, from the sentimental to the uplifting to the humorous: you’ll also get dance numbers, props and costuming, stories and jokes, and numbers by its small ensemble, the Coastliners. The two concerts take place at the Mimi Ohio Theatre at Playhouse Square. Go here for tickets.
