Hear Two Woman-Fronted Local Bands for Free at the Rock Hall Plaza

Thu 8/24 @ 8PM

The Rock Hall’s summer concert series rolls on, presenting a variety of local musicians and bands for free on its plaza throughout July & August.

Now you’ve got just two weeks to check out some of this wealth of local talent. The penultimate concert will have women front and center. Lilieae was formed in 2017 by its core duo of vocalist Lydia Puccini and bassist/vocalist Kayleigh Hyland. It released its debut EP Level in 2019, and a second called Run! Run! Run! in 2021, showcasing a scruffy but catchy pop/rock sound influenced by bands such as the Pixies, No Doubt, Nirvana and Weezer. And Akron punk quartet Detention has been storming the scene just in the last couple of years with high profile gigs such as the Wonderstruck festival.

Reserve your free tickets here. They don’t include museum admission.
