This will be a big weekend for the North Coast Men’s Chorus. Not only is the big Pride in the CLE celebration happening on Saturday June 1, but they’ve got a big event of their own: their spring concert Loud and Proud, featuring special guest Nina West, the latest in a long line of divas who have enhanced their shows. West finished sixth in Season 11 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, and is competing again in the current season which just started.
The chorus’s artistic director Rich Cole has created a concert that combines West’s big, colorful stage presence with the chorus’s big, enthusiastic vocal sound. Expect tears and laughter, dancing and costumes, powerful full-chorus numbers, solos and special features by the chorus’s small group The Coastliners. Expect to walk up uplifted and singing! It takes place at the Mimi Ohio Theatre at Playhouse Square.
