Fri 9/9 @ 6-9PM

While you’re at Walkabout Tremont. Be sure to stop in art gallery cum cocktail lounge, the Kaiser Gallery, for the opening of its new show Borderlands.

Guest curated by Karen Petkovic of BAYarts, the show features a dozen artists who, says the show’s statement, explore “themes of the vast unknown,” which “navigate the fine line between frontier and wasteland — both deal with the extremes of that which is barren and undeveloped. Are these places either physically or theoretically empty or are they hopeful — on the brink of something — perhaps understanding.”

Artists whose work is on display are David Borawski, Brut Carniollus, Michael Greenwald, Scott Groeniger, Jeremy Jones, Anne Manley, Raheleh Mohammad, Lily Rodriguez, Kritsen R. Simonsen, Kimberly Wetzel, Will Wilson, & Kristen T. Woodward.”

It’s free and open to the public, and yes, the cocktail bar will be open to purchase drinks. Borderlands will be on view through October 2.
