Kaiser Gallery has presented some interesting shows in which art intersects with important issues such as climate change. Yet the quality of the art as art has remained high.
Its next show, Journey to Harvest, which opens with a reception Friday August 13 during Walkabout Tremont, explores what it means to be an immigrant from the viewpoint of Iraqi immigrant and artist Kubra Al Hilali, now living in Cleveland.
This solo exhibit, presented in partnership with Building Hope in the City, explores ideas around hope and justice expressed via painting that’s influenced by the artist’s Middle Eastern background.
The opening is free and open to the public. The show will remain on view through September 4.
