It’s a little something different for a bookstore, a change from poetry reading, author talks and acoustic singer/songwriters but Tremont’s Visible Voice books has always been willing to take a chance.
So this week it will be hosting rock guitarist Paul Bielatowicz’s Nosferatu Returns. Bielatowicz is a British musician who has built a formidable reputation in the progressive rock community. He’s been playing with the Carl Palmer Band for nearly two decades, along with other prominent musicians such as guitarist Neal Morse, Dream Theater, Yes and Todd Rundgren.
During the pandemic, when no one was touring, he worked on a personal project, composing a soundtrack to the 1922 German film Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror. It’s that project he’s bringing to Visible Voice Books, where he’ll perform with a live band that includes guest narrator Arthur Brown, keyboardist/guitarist Dave Bainbridge, cellist Peter Zay, bassist Michael Dutko, drummer Leah Bluestein and Simon Fitzpatrick on Chapman Stick. Not only that but they’ll perform with immersive triple-screen video. It’s a lot to fit in a small bookstore!
Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Order them here. Seating is first come/first served.
