The latest episode of chamber ensemble Les Delices’ intriguing, left-field SalonEra is titled “Stylus Fantasticus.” It offers a close look at what they describe as “the wild, exploratory music of 17th century Italy and Austria.”
Violinists Tekla Cunningham and Julie Andrijeski, Irish harpist Maria Cleary (pictured) and baritone Jonathon Woody will be on hand — remotely — to talk about the music and demonstrate its power and excitement through their performances. The program includes music by Ignazio Albertini, Nicolaus Bruhns, Johann Joseph Fux, Girolamo Kaspberger and Johann Heinrich Schmeltzer.
The concert is free to tune into although they’d appreciate a $10 donation — more if you’re feeling generous toward small arts groups like theirs.
