Fri 12/10 @ 7:30PM
Sat 12/11 @ 8PM
Sat 12/18 @ 8PM (This concert has been cancelled due to COVID upsurge)
For its next three concerts, No Exit New Music, whose mission is to present contemporary pieces often in their first performance, will be showcasing the work of a consortium of renowned composers from around the world known as The Collective: Amelia Kaplan, Mathew Rosenblum, Douglas Knehans, Cindy Cox, Pamela Madsen and Konstantin Koukias.
“There’s such a great diversity built in to the way The Collective is put together, each composer with a different background, from a different place, each with a unique musical voice,” says No Exit’s artistic director Timothy Beyer. The pieces are for solo instruments or only a few instruments, perfect for an intimate space.
The concert take place at Kent State University’s Ludwig Recital Hall on Friday December 1 @ 7:30 and the BOP SOP on Saturday December 11 @ 8pm. And on Saturday December 18 it will perform its first-ever concert at Praxis Fiber Workshop’s Gallery.
No Exit’s concerts are always free and open to all. Masks are required.
