Wed 8/23 @ 8PM
Sun 8/27 @ 7PM
Cellist Nick Diodore is a key part of Cleveland’s No Exit New Music Ensemble, a scrappy local group that specializes in an adventurous repertoire, including new works, played in alternative venues.
Diodore is now playing a solo show in one of those venues — the Happy Dog at the Euclid Tavern. There he’ll perform an evening of music in the spirit of No Exit, with pieces by avant-garde composers such as Luciano Berio, Henri Dutilleux, Alberto Ginastera, Witold Lutosławski and Kaija Saariaho, as well as Cleveland-area composers, fellow No Exit member Timothy Beyer and Cleveland State music professor, Dr. Andrew Rindfleisch.
He’ll play at the Euc on Wed 8/23 and perform the same program at the Bop Stop on the west side on Sun 8/27. Both shows are free and open to the public.
