Through Tue 2/20
Ohio’s primary election will take place on Tuesday March 19, but if you want to vote, heads up — the last day to register is Tuesday February 20. Early voting starts the next day and you can apply for a mail-in ballot right now. It’s not a bad idea to check your registration to make sure you haven’t been purged by our suppression-happy secretary of state, Frank “Jim Crow” LaRose.
The marquee race on both the Republican and Democratic ballots is, of course, the presidential contest, although there’s little doubt as to who the candidates will be for the November 5 general election. Even if you don’t pull a partisan ballot, many cities in Cuyahoga County have local issues, mostly tax levies and local liquor options. And Cuyahoga County has the Health and Human Services Renewal Levy on the ballot, along with several contests judicial primaries
In any case, be registered and be prepared.
Go here if you’re in Cuayhoga County. In other counties, google your county and “board of elections.”
