When Cleveland Public Theatre announces its upcoming 2018-2019 season, you know you won’t be hearing about productions of beloved stage classics and you certainly won’t be seeing yet another trotting-out of Joseph and His Technicolor Dreamcoat or Grease. You may not even be quite clear on what it is they’re proposing to mount, exactly, and you’ll just have to buy a ticket when the show date rolls around and see.
If you’re always intrigued by their cutting-edge performances that deal with personal and societal conflicts in creative new ways, come for their season preview announcement event and hear all about it from 5-7pm. There will be free Brewnuts donuts and a cash beer bar.
Then head across the street to Superelectric Pinball Parlor where the party will continue from 7-9pm with free play, along with drinks and appetizers. Knock around some little silver balls as you try to digest what you just heard.
