New Work by Painter Eileen Dorsey Highlights This Month’s Third Friday

Wed 3/17 @ 5-9PM

There are always plenty of highlights at the monthly Third Friday artwalks at 78th Street Studios. This month one of them is sure to be the new body of work that tireless painter/muralist Eileen Dorsey is showing in her studio space on the building’s first floor. She’ll be open from 5-8pm to greet visitors and show off her new works, as well as her older pieces, which predominantly feature vividly colored, imaginative landscapes.

Also opening this week is Katy Richards’ Pocket Full of Posies at HEDGE Gallery; go here for more information on that show. It’s also your last chance to see the pop art-style, cartoon-like “humorous expressionist” graphics of George Kocar at GalleryPlus.  And Laurel Herbold and PJ Halliwell will be showing a mini DayGlo exhibit in space #107 off the SmArt Space.

You can also grab some food from Local West on the first floor, get a drink at BARneo on the RAMP level, and catch some music by DJ LaCroy Hatcher and singer/songwriter/guitarist Jeff Tucker somewhere in the building.

It’s free and open to all.
