Mayor Bibb Holds Zoom Meeting to Increase Voter Turnout

“I want YOU to vote!”

So much about election results depends on voter turnout, especially in a swing state like Ohio. And don’t let anyone tell you weren’t not still a swing state: four decades of Republican gerrymandering have depressed Democratic turnout and impacted statewide races, as well as congressional races.

There are areas of Cleveland where discouraged eligible citizens just don’t get to the polls, and as a result, their needs and priorities — education, health care, housing, jobs, health food, etc — are never addressed by state Republicans obsessed with guns and abortion, and putting the whims of Donald Trump ahead of the well-being of Ohioans.

Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb wants to work to change that. “Team Bibb is committed to increasing voter engagement across Cleveland to ensure our city remains a blue stronghold in Ohio,” he writes. So this Wednesday he’s hosting a “Get Out the Vote” Zoom event to share volunteer opportunities so you can learn how to help get more Clevelanders to the voting booth.

Go here to register and do your part to make good change for Ohio!
