Sat 4/12-Sun 6/15
The Take Hike tours, which offer both locals and tourists the opportunity to learn about different aspects of Cleveland’s history while walking past its landmarks, are offering a couple of new things this spring to kick off its 2025 season.
Its Timeless Traditions/Modern Celebrations exhibit, which will be on view in the Arcade downtown through June 15, will spotlight the diverse cultural traditions celebrated by Clevelanders and honor some of the special heritage months and celebrations, including Asian & Pacific American Heritage Month, Jewish American Heritage Month, Historic Preservation Month, Slovenian Heritage and Ukrainian Heritage. The free exhibit is open during the Arcade’s regular hours, 7am-7pm.
In addition, on Sundays and Tuesdays during May and June, its Take a Hike guides will be leading walking tours that go hand in hand with that exhibit, guiding walkers through stories about the area’s Slovenian, Ukrainian and Asian-Pacific immigrants and their contributions to the region on walks through the Woodland and Willet Street cemeteries.
