It will offer a host of educational presentations by Back to the Wild and the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center with information about what birds these are, how they live and what they do. It will also features hands-on activities such as bird crafts, live birds you can see in person, and hike to search for them out in the wild.
Celebrate Ohio’s fiercest birds at the annual Birds of Prey Day event at the Rocky River Nature Center! See live birds in person, do fun hands-on educational activities, hike to search for raptors in the wild, or make a bird craft. Presentations by Back to the Wild and the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center will spotlight native birds of prey, their behavior, and their lives.
The event itself is free (including the naturalist-led hikes) although tickets are required for the presentations. You can get them here, along with a schedule of presentations. Since parking is limited at the nature center, there will be a shuttle running to and from the Lagoon Picnic Area from 10am-4pm.
