The Sunday night Discover Weekly series continues at the B-Side Lounge in Cleveland Heights, each week offering a performance by a Cleveland musician or musicians, and information about a local nonprofit.
This week’s musicians are Skuff Micksun and Joshua Jesty. Jesty’s been in the Cleveland scene since the late 90s performing as a solo artist (with a variety of cute names) and with bands such as the memorable This Is Exploding. Micksun’s a relative newcomer, putting out his first release in 2017. He assembles his sometimes-smartalecky, sometimes-sensitive songs from a mix of punk, pop and hip-hop influences.
This week’s nonprofit is Assembly for the Arts, which was formed several years ago to advocate for Cuyahoga County artists, and to raise money for and distribute resources to them.
