Few musical acts have had the enduring appeal of the Beatles, whose songs have been performed by thousands of other artists, and used as the basis for jazz, soul, hip hop, country, folk and even classical musical. Even young kids are familiar with the Beatles who broke up several generations before they were born (which was 55 years ago, guys)! So there’s a built-in audience for the North Coast Men’s Chorus’s next shows titled Beatlemania.
Expect to hear all your favorite familiar tunes — and what Beatles’ song really ISN’T “familiar”? — performed with pizzazz by a stage full of voices with value-added extras such as choreography, costuming and special feature acts.
“We have packed as many of your favorite songs by the Fab Four as we could into this concert,” says NCMC artistic director Richard A. Cole. “The Beatles were so prolific, that narrowing the list down to a manageable number was quite the challenge. Everyone has a different Beatle favorite. We’re excited for our audiences to hear these wonderful classics interpreted with a modern twist.”
