You can pretty much tell by the name and the way they describe themselves “an original psychedelic funk rock band” that northeast Ohio quintet The Groovy Roots is a jam band.What makes them a little different is that they have a female vocalist.
Land of Panda is another Cleveland-area band whose proclivities are equally obvious as they tout their “tapestry of sound, influenced by reggae, funk and psychedelic rock.” They’ve traveled extensively throughout the Midwest.
The two band are joining forces to celebrate the release of a collaborative single called “Dusty Trail.” They’ll be spreading the good vibes at the Grog Shop, with Pittsburgh’s Big Blitz and Sauce also on the bill.
