Start Your Week With a History Hike at Liberty Park Nature Center

Mon 3/24 @ 2-4PM

With the weather getting nicer, it’s time to shake off the winter blahs, especially if you’ve been doing more couch-sitting than you’d like, get out those sturdy comfortable shoes and take a hike.

You probably want to take it easy at first though, so why don’t you join a Summit Metro Parks naturalist at the Liberty Park Nature Center for a 2.1 mile hike on Black Bear Trail. The leisurely paced History Hike will include information on the cultural history of Liberty Park and the community of Twinsburg where it’s located, covering everything from Indigenous cultures, to pioneers, to the first agriculture endeavors in the area. It will also offer insight into what’s being done to preserve and protect the park area today. It’s free and open to all.  Call 330-865-8065 for more information.
