Silent Film Comedy from 1925 Screens at Downtown Library

Sat 3/15 @ 3PM

The Cleveland Silent Film Festival & Colloquium is launching a series called “Cleveland Silent Film Festival at CPL: Celebrating 100 Years,” taking place at the Stokes Wing Auditorium of the downtown Cleveland Public Library.

It opens with the 1925 silent comedy Her Sister From Paris, starring Constance Talmadge as both a wife whose husband is coming to believe she’s boring and her lively twin sister. As the husband, played by Ronald Colman, mistakes one for the other, merriment ensues. To accompany the film, pianist David Blazer will perform an original score.

The screening, which is free, is followed by a series kick-off reception where you can learn more about what the organization offers.
