Art Books Cleveland (ABC) was founded in 2007 by a trio of artists to share information and ideas about creating handmade artist books. Its members have shown their highly diverse work in many venues and now they have a new one at a relatively new gallery in Old Brooklyn: Pinwheel Gallery.
Their latest show, Retrospectively Speaking: 18 Years of Art Books Cleveland, opens this Friday and, they say, it “will challenge and expand your definition of the word ‘book’.” Twenty-two artists including some of the group’s funding members, will demonstrate just how far the definition of “book” can be pushed.
Twenty-two artists, some who are among the founding members of Art Books Cleveland, will have their work featured at this large retrospective. The show opens with a reception on Friday March 7 and will be on view through Friday March 28. It’s free and open to all.
