No Exit New Music Presents Concert with Two Duos and Percussion Ensemble

Sat 3/22 @ 7PM

In addition to performances by its own members, Cleveland’s No Exit No Music serves as a presenter of ensembles who have similar modern classical/avant garde sensibilities.

This week they’ll be presenting to pair of duos in concert at Praxis Fiber Workshop’s gallery in the Waterloo Arts District. They’re bringing back Patchwork — sax player Noa Even and drummer Stephen Klunk —who are marking their 10th anniversary with a program of pieces they’ve commissioned.

In addition, Even will be performing with vocalist Anika Kildegaard in a duo they’ve just created performing a series of pieces of sax and voice.

As a bonus, the Cleveland State Percussion Ensemble, featuring student com[posers and musicians, will open the evening with two world premiere “pocket pieces,” inspired by composer Juri Seo’s “Portable Percussion Series,” for small percussion set-ups.

As are all No Exit concerts, this one is free and open to all. Get more information here.
