Local 4 of the Cleveland Musicians Union has launched a new monthly music series at the Treelawn Social Club in the Waterloo arts District called the Solidarity Series.
Each program will present a couple of veteran musicians from the area who’ll share some of their music as well as stories from their careers — the good, the bad and the ugly!
It kicks off with the Kidney Brothers, Robert and Jack, from Kent’s Numbers Band, celebrating their 55th birthday as a band this year, and Bill Watson, who has played with just about everyone. The concerts are free.
On April 23, Alex Bevan and Austin Wallin Cane will be singing songs and telling tales. On May 28 it’s former Beaucoup member Bill March and David Novak. Stay tuned for future shows.
