Morgan Conservatory Holds Reception & Awards Ceremony for its Juried Show

Once again the Morgan Conservatory is hosting its annual juried exhibition, its 13th. Unlike many area juried exhibition, this one is open to national submissions, so visitors will see work by many artists new to them.

The year’s theme is Interwoven Aspects: Innovation and Tradition in Paper Art, with artists invited to explore that concept in various visual ways, including the rise of AI and the impact of technology on art, the concept of intersectionality or the ways in which paper — the basis of Morgan’s work — can take on different roles and identities in art  The jurors —Pennsylvania fiber Artist Ashley Pastore and Atlanta fiber artist/educator Kelly Taylor Mitchell— also selected best in show and runner-up, to be announced at the reception and awards ceremony on Friday March 28.

The show will be on view through April 29.
