No follower of the Cleveland music scene is unfamiliar with guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Jonah Koslen, who has been through many phases since he hit the local music scene in the early 70s. He was a founding member of the Michel Stanley Band, where he shared songwriting honors with Stanley, and appeared on the band’s first three albums, writing such MSB standards as “Strike Up the Band” and “Nothing’s Gonna Change My Mind.” He went on to release a solo album, form the bands Breathless and Jonah Koslen & the Heroes, moved out to LA for a spell, reunited with Stanley in the Ghost Poets project, and performed a variety of music as a solo artist up until today.
Jonah will be talking about his long, colorful career at Cleveland Stories program at the Music Box Supper Club. Doors open at 5pm for dinner; storytelling starts at 7. Admission is free, but you should make a reservation for dinner here.
He’ll be sticking round the Music Box for the next two nights when he’ll be in the concert hall upstairs with a full bnd performing songs from cross his entire career.
Get tickets here for March 28 or here for March 29.
