Sun 3/30 @ 6PM

Every year, Akron’s The Summit FM presents its 330 Day Concert, an event that focuses attention on northeast Ohio’s music talent.

This year, it’s 8th, the free, all-ages concert will take place at the Akron Civic Theatre, where a lineup of 21 area musicians will perform songs associated with such NE Ohio artists as Devo, the Pretenders, Nine Inch Nails, Tracy Chapman, Michael Stanley, the Black Keys, the James Gang and others.

Performers include Alex Bevan, Anya Van Rose, Brian Lisik, Candace Campana, Carlos Jones, Cody J. Martin, Don Dixon, Emily Bates of the Shootouts, Truss frontwoman Hannah Crandall, Jackie Popovic from The Vindys, JD Eicher, Jeff Klemm, Jeri Sapronetti, Katy Robinson, Lauren Brabson, Marc Lee Shannon, Michael Weber, Ryan Humbert (The Shootouts), Welshly Arms’ Sam Getz, Shanna Delaney (By Light We Loom) and Tracey Thomas. It’s notable that almost half the featured performers (10 of 21) are women.

They will perform with a nine-piece house band featuring guitarist John Anthony and Erin Vaughn, bassist, Kevin Martinez on bass, keyboard player Tim Longfellow, drummer Dylan Gomez, sax player Justin Tibbs and Klemm, Humbert, and Bates on backing vocals.

Doors open at 5; music starts at 6. Although it’s free, a suggested donation of $10 will benefit the Summit’s promotion of the local music scene.
