Versatile Jazz Drummer Nate Smith Makes Cleveland Debut at Art Museum

Wed 2/19 @ 7:30-9PM

Jazz drummer/composer/arranger Nate Smith has built an international career, performing with noted musicians such as Dave Holland, Ravi Coltrane and Pat Metheny. He released his own debut album KINFOLK: Postcards from Everywhere in 2017 and snagged two Grammy nominations out of the box with music that brought pop, hip hop and R&B influences into modern jazz. He released a solo drum album called Pocket Change in 2018, and followed up his debut with KINFOLK 2: See the Birds in 2021.

He’ll be making his Cleveland debut as a band leader when he performs at the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Gartner Auditorium, with Tim Lefebvre on bass and Jason Lindner on piano and keyboards.
