Spanish Guitarist/Composer Pipo Romero Plays at the Transformer Station

Wed 2/26 @ 7:30-9PM

The Cleveland Museum of Art is leaning heavily on Spanish culture to tie in with its current special exhibit, Picasso and Paper. Among other things, it’s welcoming acoustic guitarist/composer Pipo Romero from Cadiz, Spain for a concert — his Cleveland debut — at its Transformer Station in Ohio City’s Hingetown neighborhood.

His version of acoustic finger-style guitar incorporates a variety of cross-cultural genres including classical, American country and folk, flamenco, tango and Celtic music. His latest album, 2022’s Ikigai, is based in Spanish folklore, but soaks up sounds from other cultures. Get tickets here.
