Fri 2/7 @ 6-10PM
It’s time once again for the Cleveland Museum of Art’s popular MIX party, this time with the theme “España,” playing off the museum’s current special exhibition Picasso and Paper to honor Spanish culture.
It will feature a dance lesson and performance at 6:45 by Abrepaso flamenco dancers Felise Bagley and Alice Blumenfeld, accompanied by jazz trumpet player Dominick Farinacci and friends. Before and after that Akron/Cleveland DJ LOLO will spin sets of music incorporating Spanish electro music, techno and house.
Not only can guests see Picasso and Paper for free, but they can make their own art. From 6-8pm Studio Go’s Baile y Doblez (Dance and Fold) will help them make their own folded paper Spanish-style fan. And there’ll be Spanish-style food and drink, including beer, wine and cocktails, available for purchase.
