Literary Cleveland hosts a series of events called Plum City Readings, presenting authors of various types, both local and national, highlighting interesting work put out on independent presses.
For its first event of 2025, taking place at Loganberry Books on Larchmere boulevard, the readers will be Oberlin professors Chanda Feldman and Elizabeth Lindsey Rogers with Cleveland author Mary Grimm.
Feldman is the author of the 2024 poetry book Glance, and her poems have appeared in many journals and anthologies. Rogers’ poetry has also appeared in anthologies and she’s published two books, the latest being 2020’s The Tilt Torn Away from the Seasons. Last year she published a book of essays called Miss Southwest. Mary Grimm’s stories have appeared in The New Yorker, Antioch Review and Mississippi Review and has had three books publishes; she’s currently working on a series of climate change novellas set in past and future Cleveland.
After the reading, there’s an afterparty at the Lit Cleveland offices, conveniently located across the street from Loganberry Books where you can meet the authors and get them to sign copies of their books.
The event is pay-what-you-can. Go here for more info.
