Piano Cleveland Brings Free Music to Cleveland Museum of Art

Tue 3/4 @ noon

Piano Cleveland, which presents Cleveland International Piano Competition, has been ramping up its efforts to bring high-quality piano music into the community and make it more accessible.

On Tuesday March 4, Piano Cleveland Artistic Director Yaron Kolhberg (a 2007 Cleveland International Piano Competition medalist) will be performing with Danish cellist and professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Music Toke Møldrup at the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Ames Family Atrium.  Møldrup, who comes from a creative family (both parents were classical guitarists and his mother was also a painter), studied at the Royal Danish Academy, as well as Northwestern University in Illinois before launching his successful professional career. In 2002, he left his position as principle cellist of the Copenhagen Philharmonic to launch a solo career that’s taken him all over the world.

Grab some lunch at Provenance Café and bring it into the Atrium  to enjoy some free music.
